Terms and Conditions

For participation in Weston Hospicecare's Lottery.

  1. There is a guaranteed weekly prize fund of £1500 to be distributed between the 33 winning tickets as follows: 1st - £1000, 2nd £150, 3rd £50 and 30 prizes of £10. (We may reassess the viability of this at any time and may decide to change this. Any such change will be notified in writing to you at the address we hold on your membership record).
  2. All members must be 16 years of age or over to play.
  3. Each membership costs £1.00 per week. There is no separate joining fee.
  4. You can have as many memberships as you want, each membership will be allocated a unique six digit number that will be entered into every draw subject to payment of £1.00.
  5. Payment implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  6. The Draw takes place every Wednesday when winning numbers are selected at random by our lottery program.
  7. All winners will be notified by post - there is no need to claim prizes. Prizes will be sent as soon as possible by cheque only - you may be contacted by telephone to be told you have won.
  8. Any cheque not cashed within six months will be cancelled.
  9. The Lottery Promoter's decision is final.
  10. Every Thursday the winning numbers are published in the Weston and Somerset Mercury, Cheddar Valley Gazette and broadcast on STAR 107.7 FM. They are also displayed in all Weston Hospicecare Charity Shops and on our website and Facebook page as soon after the draw as possible.
  11. Only one Jackson Bear per new membership.
  12. All profits made after costs are given to Weston Hospicecare to use to care for patients who are resident in Weston-super-Mare, Burnham on Sea, Cheddar, Yatton and the surrounding villages served byWeston Hospicecare.
  13. Weston Hospicecare Lottery is a member of the Hospice Lotteries Association, The Lotteries Council, IBAS and GREaT and we are licensed by North Somerset District Council under the Gambling Act 2005.
