Give thanks to the lives of those we love
Christmas is a time of remembering people who
have touched our lives. Weston Hospicecare’s
Tree of Light appeal offers you the chance to
have a light shining in memory of someone who
for whatever reason cannot be with you this
Christmas. A light symbolises your donation,
which will help Weston Hospicecare provide
comprehensive care and support for around 600
people a year, their carers and families, living
with cancer and other life threatening
conditions in the North Somerset area.
There are many ways you can support this
appeal and therefore the hundreds of families
within our community who benefit each year from
the services provided by the Hospice.
* You can dedicate a light on a Christmas
tree at the Sovereign Centre in Weston super
Mare,
All
dedications are listed in a Book of Remembrance
and throughout the year the book is on display in
the chapel at the Hospice.
A copy of the Book of Remembrance is also
made available on this website and can be found
here.
To launch this year’s appeal a short
dedication ceremony will take place at the
Sovereign Centre on the evening of Thursday
November 22nd at 7pm
and also at Cadbury Garden and Leisure on
Thursday 29th November at 7pm. The ceremony
includes readings, carols, prayers and a chance
for a personal reflection.
There is also a service of Remembrance and
Thanksgiving on Saturday 1st
December 2007 at Christchurch, Montpelier at
4pm,
We hope you can join us. |
