Your Christmas donation will care for a local person, suffering with physical and emotional pain and in desperate need of support

Why do we need your help?

Your hospice key workers depend on donations and gifts in wills to enable them to care for local people at the end of their lives.

COVID-19 is having an enormous impact on our lives. The demand for our services is rising. Sadly, for the hospice, event and community fundraising income has been seriously affected and we simply must find the funds we rely on to ensure we can emotionally support those in distress, provide pain relief to stop suffering and provide all the other essential services that help families make the most of the time they have left together.

Our entire care team are working tirelessly to ensure every person is given the help they desperately need. We never want to be in a position where we have to cut our services and therefore ask you to help us, if you can, by making a donation today by clicking here.

Although having to deal with a bleak situation, a remarkable network of local individuals and businesses have rallied behind us and responded with incredible generosity, pledging £30,000 to match donations has been made to the 2020 COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CARE APPEAL!

What can you do to help?

Please urgently make your donation today to ensure these pledges are fulfilled.

So many people are depending on Weston Hospicecare to get them through the most distressing time of their lives. We are already seeing an increase in demand for our services, caused by late diagnosis and are fully expecting this demand to escalate even more next year. It is simply crucial that we raise enough money to care for everyone who needs us.

Every day a person like Rose is referred to the hospice for the end of life care they deserve. Lucy, one of our nine Community Nurse Specialists has been caring for Rose since she was diagnosed with incurable cancer.

Meet Rose. Click her photo to read her story!

You can help Rose and people like her by donating whatever you can today.

Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Don't forget...Your gift will provide 25% more care with Gift Aid.

A Gift Aid declaration allows Weston Hospicecare to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Weston Hospicecare we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Weston Hospicecare to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Weston Hospicecare will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Weston Hospicecare receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.
