Despite all of the challenges we face, hospice supporters including The Malcolm Gunter Foundation have so generously pledged to match donations made to this appeal, up to £23,200.
Right now, 556 local people are relying on specialist hospice care to support them throughout the festive season.
Sadly, for many of our patients, this will be their last Christmas.
Your donation is urgently needed to provide everything it takes to enable someone, needing end of life care, to be at home with their family this Christmas. It will give a family the opportunity to make the most of the time they have left together and help to create fond memories, that loved ones will cherish long into the future.
Unfortunately, some people are just too ill to be cared for at home, or are alone. Could you help someone in need of a warm bed in our homely In-Patient Unit, a lovely Christmas dinner and the company of our skilled and compassionate nurses?
Many families are facing their first Christmas without a loved one. Your donation could support someone struggling with grief during this incredibly difficult time.
For Kathryn, the memories of Christmas with her late-husband, Mark, still bring a smile to her face. To remind you of the difference you will make to someone’s life by donating whatever you can today to fund vital hospice services, please take a few minutes to read the letter below. Thank you! You have raised £30,358 out of our £55,000 target.
