Hi Everyone,
I’m Paul, CEO of Weston Hospicecare. Just a quick message before Christmas, and as 2024 draws to a close, to say thank you and tell you how much your support means to Weston Hospicecare.
In spite of some truly daunting financial challenges this year, all aspects of our Hospice care have been fully operational during 2024, and remain so – these include our community nurse specialist team who visit patients at home, our Hospice day services for outpatients, our wellbeing and complementary therapies, occupational therapy and physio, our family support team, bereavement counselling, and our inpatient unit here at the Hospice. How have we done it? Well, that is all down to you, our wonderful and loyal supporters, who have carried us through.
So, however you have helped us this year, whether it’s by volunteering your time, playing our lottery, supporting A Minute A Month, joining in a Hospice event, taking on a Challenge, shopping in our charity stores, opening up your garden, being a regular giver or making a special donation… even pledging a gift to us in your Will, THANK YOU so much and please… continue to support your local Hospice in 2025. We really do need you.
I also want to publicly thank our dedicated staff and volunteers – you are the most caring and professional bunch of people, you have gone above and beyond this year for the Hospice, and even though many of you will be working shifts over Christmas and New Year taking care of patients, do make sure you get the rest and recuperation you deserve.
I know this can be a difficult time of year for many, especially when remembering those we’ve lost. But it’s also a time to come together, to cherish the memories of those we are no longer with us, and to support one another.
On behalf of everyone at Weston Hospicecare, we wish you all a relaxing and peaceful Christmas, and a very happy New Year.
Thank you,
Paul
