Weston Hospicecare’s Moonlight Beach Walk is due to take place tomorrow (17 September) with organisers left scratching their heads baffled.
275 letter Ks have gone missing from the back of participant T-shirts in a mysterious and unexpected freak occurrence.
The missing Ks are now at large around Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset.
The hospice asks participants, volunteers, staff, suppliers, sponsors and contractors to urgently report sightings to all of Weston Hospicecare’s social media channels where there will be live updates on this puzzling investigation.
Director of Fundraising and Communications, Mark Flower, says “This is truly baffling.
“When we printed the T-shirts and took delivery my team carefully checked the T-shirts but it’s become apparent the letter Ks have made a break for freedom.
“We hope everyone in our community can help us round up the missing Ks so we can offer our fantastic participants a chance to amend their T-shirts on the night.”
The hospice hope to find all 275 missing letter K’s to take with them to the Grand Pier ahead of tomorrow night’s Moonlight Beach Walk so participants can amend their tops.
Mark continued “In my whole career, this is the most bizarre mystery I’ve encountered and I hope everyone can help us round up our missing herd of Ks.”
The e-Fit for the missing K is attached and any sightings should be sent to any of Weston Hospicecare’s social media accounts where it’s hoped a successful investigation will take place.
