Weston Hospicecare’s Burnham-on-Sea seafront charity shop is set to reopen for trading this morning (Monday 10 August).
The shop joins sites on Weston Devonshire Road, Weston High Street, Weston Milton Road and Worle Fashion, Yatton and Cheddar shops in reopening after temporary closure caused by restrictions relating to the coronavirus pandemic.
All shops closed for business at the start of lockdown in March 2020 and now seven hospice shops are open to support income generation for the charity.
The hospice is working on plans to reopen the remaining shops as soon as it is safe to do so. Depending on the status of the coronavirus, the hospice will not hesitate close shops again to protect customers, staff and volunteers.
As things stand, the trading hours for hospice shops are the following:
- Burnham-on-Sea Seafront, Monday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm*
- Weston Devonshire Road, Weston High Street and Weston Milton Road, Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm
- Cheddar and Worle Fashion, Tuesday – Saturday, 10am-4pm
- Yatton, Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm
The hospice shops are not accepting donations at this time due to lack of storage.
All profits from sales will support the care given to people with life-limiting illnesses in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset and Sedgemoor so please do support our shops open and remember to take your mandatory face mask to protect other customers and staff.
