A remarkable young man, who took part in the Wedmore 40/30 event on Sunday, has raised £154 to support Weston Hospicecare.
Dougie Wilson rode the 12 mile charity ride route to raise money for his local hospice. His Nan and Grandpa were cared for by a hospice in New Zealand.
Dougie says “I did the 12 miler because I don’t think I could do the 30 miler. It was quite tough on the ups and downs. But I accomplished it!
“I have raised £154 for the hospice, so I think that is quite good.
“My nan who lives in New Zealand was in a hospice and sadly died and so was my Grandpa. I did this ride for them.”
