The 14th Weston-super-Mare Model Railway Exhibition has raised £3,420 for Weston Hospicecare and Castle Kids Club.
The funds raised will be split equally between the two organisations, which both serve the community.
The event, which was organised by long-term hospice supporters Keith and Joyce Price, was attended by 750 people and saw 27 detailed exhibits on show at the Campus in Locking Castle. Entries came from as far away as Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire.
Winning entry Launceston Steam Railway was displayed by exhibitor Richard Holder of Shepton Mallet.
Community fundraiser Rachel Mansfield said: “On behalf of the hospice, I would just like to say a huge thanks to Keith Price for another fantastic show and for the donation of £1,710 to the hospice.
“It was lovely to see so many layouts and the stories behind them and we are all very much looking forward to the next show on 13 January.”
The hospice has to raise 80% of its annual funding through its own and third party fundraising efforts.
Keith and Joyce have organised 14 exhibitions, raising more than £40,000 for Weston Hospicecare since the first.
