Volunteers needed for rewarding roles for local hospice
Weston Hospicecare announced on 11 January plans to open a superstore to support the long term future of the charity.
In order to help staff the store, the hospice is looking for volunteers to help with roles such as driver’s mates, processors, till operators, visual merchandisers and customer assistants.
The store is due to open before the end of February so the charity is looking for people to fill these roles.
Emma King, Director of Retail, says: “Volunteers play a vital role across the hospice but especially within the retail operation.
“Our volunteers contribute so much. I am extremely grateful to each person who currently gives their time to support us.
“I know they are really rewarding roles. If you are thinking about volunteering for us, please be reassured your contribution would be considered invaluable and much appreciated!”
Volunteers are currently worth at least £1million to Weston Hospicecare each year with the actual value considered to be much higher.
Volunteering at Weston Hospicecare means you will receive full training relevant to the role and be part of an amazing team helping a local charity.
