A brand new family fun day and fundraising event sponsored by Nightingale Removals and Storage Limited will take place this Saturday (15 September) in aid of Weston Hospicecare for the first time.
The inaugural It’s a Hospice Knockout fundraiser will debut at Clarence Park this Saturday 15 September from 12pm promising plenty of fun for all.
The event will see teams from all over the community go head-to-head in the games in a bid to become the first It’s a Hospice Knockout’ champion. There will also be stalls, games, face-painting and many more exciting activities for the spectators to enjoy.
Nightingale Group owner Richard Nightingale said: “Weston Hospicecare cares for people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones, maximising their quality of life and assisting with their symptoms to make their moments together as special as they can be.
“The care they provide is free of charge and they rely on the local community for donations in order to continue to provide their services.
“I cannot speak highly enough about their efforts and the Nightingale Group is proud to contribute to this much-valued community asset. I’m sure that ‘It’s a Hospice Knockout’ will be a wonderful fun-filled day, so please come along and help us raise funds for a very worthy cause.”
Weston Hospicecare’s Director of Fundraising and Communications Alison Sopp said the hospice greatly appreciates the support from the Nightingale Group for the event.
She said: “We are extremely grateful to Richard Nightingale and the Nightingale Group for sponsoring our very first It’s a Hospice Knockout.
“It’s going to be a fantastic day for the teams taking part, and for everyone who wishes to come down and watch the teams take on all sorts of obstacles and enjoy the Fun Day on Saturday.
“The hospice relies on the support from the community to ensure that we can continue to provide free care for people living with a life-limiting illness.”
Teams can still enter for the event and more information about how to sign up can be found on https://www.westonhospicecare.org.uk/knockout/. Admission to the fun day for spectators will cost £1 as a donation to the hospice on the gate.
