It’s your challenge your way.

There are hundreds of ways to support your local hospice and whether you have your own idea already or need a little inspiration, we’d love to hear from you.

It might be a bike ride, a coastal walk or trek, an organised run you are taking part in or even a car rally, nothing is too big or crazy!

The Challenge Fundraising Team can’t wait to help you through your fundraising journey. Please complete the short contact form below and we’ll be in touch to help get you started.

Grace and Zelah are on hand throughout to support you with your fundraising every step of the way!

Grace Dibden

Senior Fundraising Manager

Grace started working for the hospice in May 2019 and has worked for a range of charities in events and fundraising roles. She says “getting to know our challenge and event fundraisers is one of the best parts of my job, they inspire me every day with their incredible spirit and drive to help their local hospice, truly making a difference”. Grace likes to travel as much as she can, as well as enjoying spending time at festivals and out in the countryside.

Zelah joined the Fundraising Team in November 2019. She has experience working and volunteering for other local charities and over the years has organised various summer fairs, cake sales and fundraising events for non-profit organisations.

In her spare time she loves to go on walks, visit festivals to watch live music and most of all bake! Her chocolate brownies are not to be missed!

What’s in it for me?

  • Grace and Zelah from the events and challenges team are on hand throughout to support you with your fundraising every step of the way!
  • The opportunity to fundraise your way towards an exclusive Challenge Your Way Gold medal. Will you be going for gold for Weston Hospicecare?
  • Knowing that your amazing fundraising is helping thousands of local people going through one of the toughest times of their lives.

Get online

An online giving page is the best way to spread the word of what you are doing for the hospice. Set up a JustGiving page here. There’s no time like the present, so it’s best to start your fundraising as soon as you can and give your supporters plenty of time to donate.

Set yourself a target

Your supporters will be encouraged to donate if you have set yourself a target, everyone loves something to work towards! Plus, if you hit your target ahead of event day, don’t be afraid to increase it!

Share your reasons why you have chosen to raise funds for Weston Hospicecare

Your friends and family want to know why you have chosen to fundraise for the hospice. Whether it’s a personal connection or support for a local cause, a personal ask and heart-felt explanation can go a long way – make sure to include it in your online giving page too. Add photos of your fundraising journey as supporters love to see how you are getting on.

Spread the word

You are doing something amazing, so don’t be afraid to shout about it! Use social media, email or even our event poster which can be printed out to spread the word about your challenge. Remember to include a link to your page so they can pledge their support.

A big thank you

Just a simple ‘Thank You’ goes a long way and lets your amazing supporters know that their donation is valued, no matter how big it is and how their support is helping care and support families in their local community.Whether it’s in person, a text, or an online message, it can make a huge difference to your fundraising support both now, and in the future.

A huge thank you to you for supporting your hospice and we cannot wait to hear from you and start fundraising with you!
