Weston Hospicecare’s Men’s March will make a welcome return to the charity’s fundraising event calendar in 2020 and supporters can now register to take part.
It’s set for Saturday 14th March and will be sponsored by popular cider makers Thatchers.
The beautiful 10 mile walk will mirror the route of 2019’s event by starting at the Grand Pier and following the glorious Weston to Sand Point coastline before returning to the Pier.
Walkers will receive a tasty pasty, a cold thirst-quenching pint of Thatchers Gold and a chance to catch decisive Six Nations rugby action promising plenty of excitement as England take on Italy at the climax of the tournament.
The event gives supporters a chance to walk in memory of a loved one and support the charity’s care it gives to people with life-limiting conditions for free.
A limited number of early bird tickets are now available on the hospice’s website. Adult tickets cost £15 and child tickets cost £10 before prices increase.
The hospice’s events manager Grace Dibden said: “We’re delighted to be bringing back the Men’s March for a second year and we cannot wait to make it another memorable occasion.
“An incredible number of men took part last year which led to a light-hearted atmosphere and we cannot wait for even more people to come and enjoy the fun.
“So if you like rugby, come and join us! Bring along your mates and family or if you’re part of a sports team bring your teammates along for what promises to be an excellent day out raising money for Weston Hospicecare. We can’t wait to see you all.”
Participants can receive support in raising sponsorship from the charity’s dedicated fundraising team and will be able to make a donation while signing up. For fundraising support, call 01934 423900 or email email@example.com.
