Weston Hospicecare has been celebrating its 30th anniversary of caring for people with life-limiting illnesses during 2019.
262 people attended the charity’s birthday party at Cadbury House in Congresbury where staff members, volunteers and supporters celebrated the milestone.
Guests paid £30 per ticket which included a glass of bubbly, a three-course dinner and coffee followed by live music from the Lipinski Band and Kieran Clarke Entertainment.
The hospice covered the cost of the event by selling tickets to staff, volunteers and supporters for just £30.
Director of Patient Services John Bailey read a poem to those in attendance. It was written by an anonymous member of staff and summarised the charity’s journey so far.
Guests entered a raffle where the lucky winners were treated to prizes such as overnight stays at Cadbury House, the Swan Hotel in Wells, Wookey Hole and it even included a place for the hospice’s wing-walk next year.
A huge thanks to A1 Camera Club of Weston-super-Mare for capturing the following photos.
