In your community
Fundraising for your local hospice can make such a difference to so many patients and their families. The fundraising team want to make as many last wishes come true and we can only do that with your help. So, if you have any ideas of how you want to fundraise, the wackier and crazier the better, then please contact us and let us know. We love all fundraising ideas, and we would love to help you build your own fundraising ambitions. We can’t wait to hear from you to help with all the information needed to make your event go smoothly.
Our Community fundraising team consists of; Kirsty Simmons Senior Community Fundraiser, Abi Smart Community Fundraiser, Esther Biggs Community Fundraiser.

Community Volunteers
Why become a community volunteer?
Our community volunteers organise their own events and activities, which are all supported by the hospice’s community fundraisers.
They arrange many successful events including coffee mornings, breakfasts, Christmas fayres, summer fetes, quiz nights, fashion shows and much more. They are always there to lend a helping hand and are vitally important to the hospice.
By becoming a volunteer, you can:
- Be actively involved in your local community;
- Make new friends and have fun;
- Develop skills in fundraising and event organisation; and
- Help make a difference to local people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
If you are interested in becoming a community volunteer, please contact the fundraising team on 01934 423900 or email us.
