Why Join A Friends Group?
As volunteers, our Friends groups organise their own events and activities, which are all supported by the hospice’s community fundraisers.
They arrange many successful events including coffee mornings, breakfasts, Christmas fairs, summer fetes, quiz nights, fashion shows and much more. They are always there to lend a helping hand and are vitally important to the hospice.
By joining a Friends group, you can:
- Be actively involved in your local community;
- Make new friends and have fun;
- Develop skills in fundraising and event organisation; and
- Help make a difference to local people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
We have several Friends groups across the area in Blagdon, Burnham-on-Sea, Congresbury, Hutton, Kewstoke, Wrington, Worlebury, Wedmore and now our newest group in Cheddar.
If you are interested in joining or starting a Friends group, please contact the fundraising team on 01934 423900 or email us.
