Weston Hospicecare’s Waterloo Street charity shop will reopen for trading this morning (Wednesday 19 August).
The shop is the eighth retail site to reopen after coronavirus restrictions forced the temporary closure of all Weston Hospicecare charity shops.
All shops closed for business at the start of lockdown in March 2020 and now eight hospice shops are open to boost income generation for the charity.
The hospice is working on plans to reopen the remaining shops as soon as it is safe to do so. Depending on the status of the coronavirus, the hospice will not hesitate close shops again to protect customers, staff and volunteers.
As things stand, the trading hours for hospice shops are the following:
Weston Waterloo Street, Weston Devonshire Road, Weston High Street, Weston Milton Road, Worle Fashion and Burnham-on-Sea Seafront, Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm
Cheddar, Tuesday – Saturday, 10am-4pm
Yatton, Monday-Friday, 10am – 4pm
The hospice shops are not accepting donations at this time due to lack of storage.
All profits from sales will support the care given to people with life-limiting illnesses in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset and Sedgemoor so please do support our shops and remember to take your mandatory face masks to protect other customers and staff.
