We have many volunteer roles available across the organisation. Such as, helping in our donation centre, our shops/superstore, supporting our events or supporting our clinical teams with their work in the community and at Jackson-Barstow House.

It ranges from however much time you can give to covering shifts.
You can start in some of our shops from the age of 14. In other areas of the organisation, you help from the age of 18.

Yes, where necessary you will be given all the training you require to complete your role.
You can volunteer while receiving benefits as long as you continue to meet all the conditions of your benefit. Tell the office that pays your benefits about any volunteering that you are planning to do before you start. For applicants who aren’t UK citizens, you’re only allowed to volunteer if your immigration status permits it. Many will, but please do check that you are entitled to volunteer, to avoid breaching the terms of your status. You can find further information about different visa rules on this government webpage. Irish citizens, EU/EEA citizens with settled or pre-settled status, and refugees and asylum seekers are fully entitled to volunteer.
