Weston Hospicecare have launched a brand new text service to improve communication to incredible supporters.
Recipients will begin receiving texts from December 2022 and the charity will use the name WHC Hospice.
It will be used to share information about fundraising, volunteer opportunities and other hospice news.
Senior Communications Officer, Harry Cardno, says “We’re really excited to be announcing the launch of this service and to let the public know this is a genuine new service.
“We intend it to be a useful source of information about Weston Hospicecare to those included.
“The hospice relies on the kindness and generosity of its supporters and volunteers.
“So, we are always looking for innovative ways to communicate the array of opportunities for the public to get involved and support this incredible charity.”
The service the hospice is using charges the charity 3p per text as the charity look to communicate in more eco-friendly ways and through methods which save money.
Recipients will be able to opt out of the service should they wish not to receive communication from Weston Hospicecare in this way.
