Our vital 2022 COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CARE APPEAL is now live!
At a time where so many of us are struggling to make ends meet, we struggled to secure funds to match supporter donations for the appeal.
We started with £11,000 in the pledge pot (less than half of the amount we secured last year). Recently, we were pledged an extra £5,000, increasing our pot to match supporter donations to £16,000.
This year, the theme of our appeal is family. Because, people of all ages, including bereaved children, depend on donations to support them through the very worst of times.
Earlier this year, Phil, a young father of five children died in our In-Patient Unit. His wife, Marie, wrote a letter to explain how donations made to the hospice cared for her family.
Their youngest son of just nine years old, Sonny, made our supporter Christmas card.
We think it’s wonderful and hope you do too.
Sonny received bereavement counselling here at the hospice, following the death of his dad.
Marie said, “He always comes out smiling.”

If you can spare a small donation to help care for a local family this Christmas time, please do.
Thank you
