Paul joined Weston Hospicecare as our Chief Executive in March 2017, and has taken the hospice through two strategy cycles and the COVID pandemic.
Prior to forging a new career in palliative and end-of-life care, Paul worked for 25 years in marine geophysical exploration, spending 12 years in the Far East and Australia, and 4 years in Norway. With a BSc in geophysics, Paul served in many positions during that time, including as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer.
Paul has two children and lives in Cheddar, Somerset. In his spare time he enjoys sailing a Bavaria 39’ Cruiser from Plymouth, as well as hiking, swimming and cycling.
Paul says, “I feel very fortunate to be enjoying a second career in end-of-life care, and I can honestly say my position at Weston Hospicecare is the most enjoyable and personally fulfilling challenge of my working life”.
